| Silicone tooling offers a range of applications
within prototyping and smaller batch production. Resin compounds can be
rigid or soft and flexible, and the tooling mould has a usual life of at
least 50 components, depending on complexity. Thus making silicone tooling
and vacuum casting an affordable option for prototype that will avoid long
delays and expensive hard tooling. Batch parts can be tested for suitability and durability far more quickly than those of manufacturing standard. |
